Inks, pigments, dyes

Inks are strongly tinted liquid or pasty substances used to mark paper and all other printable materials.
Made up of dissolved dyes which impregnate or bite the support such as dyes, or dispersions of pigments in a binder such as paints, from which they are distinguished only by their use.

  • Dye-based inks diffuse little light resulting in saturated and vivid colors when printed. This ink allows excellent color dispersion, thus preserving the glossy appearance of the support.
  • Pigment inks are much less fluid, they adhere and dry quickly without ever penetrating the substrate. With this type of ink, it is also possible to play with colors, shades, gradients… The precision is better than printing with dye inks.

If you are looking for an independent and reactive analysis laboratory , contact the POLYMEX laboratory.

Analyse des encres, pigments et colorants

You meet needs:

You work in the printing industry, inks, dyes, pigments, paints, food, textiles ... and you are looking for a competent and reactive analysis laboratory, contact the POLYMEX laboratory.

Polymex supports you:

POLYMEX offers you chemical analyzes on your inks, dyes and pigments, whether it involves identifying its nature, deformulation on a benchmark or competitive product or even quantification on a finished product (content coloring, residual solvent, binder or polymer matrix, adjuvant, etc.), we will assist you in solving your problem.

Polymex is an independent laboratory specializing in the provision of services on the Study and Expertise of materials and polymers ...

With a know-how of 25 years of experience in the analysis, qualification and deformulation of polymer matrices and systems, POLYMEX offers the following services and benefits:

  • Structural analysis of a solvent-based ink by Pyrolysis/GCMS and UPLC/TOF-MS.
  • Identification of VOCs in an aqueous phase ink by HS/GCMS – Compliance with an MSDS.
  • Compliance with European Regulation (EU) 2020/2081 of 14 December 2020 - quantification or deformulation
Colors like all food additives are regulated and must respect a specific content. POLYMEX has quantified the content of blue coloring E133..
